Who is WiseExit for?
Founders of eCommerce and direct-to-consumer brands who are thinking about selling, now or in the next year or two. We work with stores on Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon and other platforms.
What matters most is a track record of profit you can show, ideally 12 months or more. Smaller stores are welcome: the valuation tells you honestly where you are, and what would change the picture.
Many founders come to us before they've decided anything. A valuation doesn't commit you to sell. It tells you what you've built is worth today, and what to fix if you decide to sell later.
Who is behind WiseExit?
WiseExit was founded by Max Schipilliti. Max has been in eCommerce since 2019. Over these years he has bought and sold several stores himself, so he knows from the inside what a buyer looks at, and what makes a deal fall apart.
He started WiseExit to give other founders the chance to turn what they've built into money, the right way, and at the right moment. Every deal is followed personally by him.
How does a sale with WiseExit work?
1. Valuation
We analyse 12 to 24 months of numbers: cash collected, costs, ads, returns. You get a realistic value range and a list of what to fix before going to market. It's free, with an answer in 24 hours, and with no commitment to sell.
The method is the one buyers use: verified profit times a multiple that reflects risk. We explain it in how much is my Shopify store worth.
2. Preparation
A clean monthly P&L, accounts and suppliers that can be transferred, processes written down. We prepare an anonymous teaser and the full information pack buyers will ask for. This is where price is won, and the step most founders skip. Our 12-month preparation plan shows the work involved.
3. Finding the buyer
We approach selected buyers confidentially, on Flippa and in our direct network. Your brand name is only shared with those who have signed an NDA and are genuinely interested.
The buyers who acquire eCommerce brands usually fall into three groups:
- Funds and aggregators, who buy several brands and run them together. They want clean numbers, written processes and a business that runs without the founder.
- eCommerce operators, who already have stores and a team, and plug your brand into their machine.
- Companies in your industry, manufacturers or distributors who want a working direct-to-consumer channel.
The right buyer is selected, not found by luck.
4. Offers and negotiation
We compare offers side by side, not just on the headline price: how much at signing, how much later, and on what conditions. We handle the negotiation of the terms that matter as much as the price: payment schedule, handover, non-compete.
5. Due diligence
The buyer checks everything you've stated. We prepare the answers with you, so the numbers hold up and the store keeps running while it happens.
6. Agreement and payment
You often don't get everything at once: part at signing, part tied to the results of the following months. We make sure these terms are as clear as the price. You sign when the deal is right.
How much does it cost?
| What | How it works with WiseExit |
|---|---|
| Valuation | Free, answer in 24 hours |
| Upfront costs | None |
| Commission | Only at closing, when the sale is signed |
| Percentage | Depends on the size of the deal, given in writing before you sign anything |
| If the store doesn't sell | You don't pay us |
How does WiseExit keep a sale confidential?
Your brand name stays private until a buyer signs an NDA. Until then, your numbers circulate only in anonymous form. Name and accounts are never shared at the presentation stage. Information is released in stages: the teaser first, then the numbers, then the data room, with the most sensitive details, like supplier names, last.
What does WiseExit not do?
- We don't promise a price, a multiple or a timeline before reading your numbers. Nobody honest can.
- We don't give tax or legal advice. We work alongside your accountant, tax advisor and lawyer.
- We don't share your brand name with anyone who hasn't signed an NDA.
Valuations are estimates based on the data the client provides. They are not an appraisal or a guarantee of sale or price.
How long does it take?
It depends on the store, how ready the numbers are and the buyers in the market, so we don't promise a date. Plan for months rather than weeks: due diligence alone usually takes a while, and a store that keeps performing during the sale keeps its price.
How does WiseExit compare with other options?
You can sell on a marketplace yourself, through a broker, or on your own. Each route has its strengths. We've described them as fairly as we can in Flippa, Empire Flippers, Acquire.com or a broker, and listed the questions to ask any broker, us included, in how to choose an eCommerce business broker.
What should I have ready for the valuation?
Not much, to start. The short form asks for your store's address, platform, age, monthly revenue and profit ranges, main channel, why you're thinking of selling and your timeline. With that, we can tell you where you stand.
If you can also share 12 to 24 months of numbers, the range gets sharper:
- cash collected per month;
- costs, including product, shipping and fees;
- ad spend by channel;
- refunds and returns.
If some of it is messy, send it anyway. Part of the valuation is telling you what to clean up before a buyer sees it.
What do founders usually ask in the first call?
- "Do I have to decide now?" No. The valuation is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
- "Will you tell me what it's worth?" Yes, as a realistic range, with the reasons behind it and what would move it.
- "What do you need from me?" Access to 12 to 24 months of numbers: cash collected, costs, ads, returns. A short form gets it started.
- "Who will I be talking to?" Every deal is followed personally by Max Schipilliti.
- "What if I'm not ready?" Then you leave with a list of what to fix, in order, and you decide when to come back.
What we believe
- You're not selling a website. You're selling an asset.
- Buyers don't pay for revenue. They pay for profit they can verify.
- You built it to sell products. Now build it to be sold.
- Most founders sell when they're tired. The best time is while you're still growing.
How do I start?
Request a free valuation. It takes a few minutes, you get an answer within 24 hours, and there's no commitment to sell. If you'd rather ask a question first, you can write to us from the contact page.
